Rebranding Visual Identity Verbal Identity



Founded in 1991, Dante Institute began its journey as a foreign language school. Over more than three decades, Dante has grown, evolved, and transformed into a modern institute comprising five departments. In addition to secondary education, a foreign language school, and the International Cooperation Department, Dante today, through its Career Development Department alone, offers more than 30 different adult education programs.

Given this growth and the increasing diversity of its offerings, the time had come for a rebranding – an essential step forward. The existing visual identity could no longer adequately communicate all aspects of Dante’s services or effectively reach its diverse target audiences.

Dante’s new visual identity is inspired by symbols of knowledge, enduring excellence, and a future-oriented vision.

The laurel wreath, a symbol of renowned poets and victors, was also worn by Dante Alighieri, after whom the institute is named. This recognizable emblem has been incorporated into the new visual identity, representing academic excellence and the lasting knowledge Dante provides its students. In addition to the laurel wreath, another key element of the identity is the compass, symbolizing guidance towards the right information, education, and professional opportunities.

The Compass of Knowledge defines Dante’s mission – to be a guide through education that pushes boundaries and creates new opportunities. It encompasses sources of knowledge provided through high-quality materials and mentors, the categorization of knowledge to ensure its clear application, continuous evaluation to maintain its quality and relevance, and the distribution of knowledge through a community of students and partners.

The combination of the laurel and compass is integrated into the brand’s initial letter, forming a distinctive brand mark—a symbol of commitment to education and lifelong development. To ensure clearer and more effective communication with different target audiences, each department within Dante has been assigned a specific color. This system improves visual organization, enhances program recognition, and makes the overall identity modern and tailored to the contemporary needs of both the brand and its students.

Verbal Identity

To fully convey Dante’s mission, we developed a slogan that clearly communicates the brand’s values: "Change Direction. Push Boundaries.” This slogan encapsulates Dante’s vision—to provide opportunities for personal and professional growth through quality education. It is not just an inspiration but also a call to action, emphasizing that knowledge is the most powerful tool for shaping the future. The slogan is modular and can be adapted to fit the brand’s everyday communication needs, for example: "Change Direction – Become a Marketing Specialist."

Dante’s new identity is more than just a visual change—it is a strategic shift that enables the institute to position itself more clearly in the market, connect with students, and remain a leader in adult education.

Dante is a place where knowledge opens doors to new opportunities. With the right direction and the courage to push boundaries, every student can reach their full potential—just as every brand, with the right visual and verbal identity, can clearly communicate its values and achieve its full strength.
